Over the past day, the Russian army lost 1,230 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian forces also eliminated 8 tanks and 67 artillery systems

This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff on August 7.
Russia's total combat losse from 24.02.22 to 07.08.24 are estimated to be:

- tanks - 8,429 (+8)
- armored fighting vehicles - 16,323 (+29)
- artillery systems - 16,451 (+67)
- MLRS - 1,138 (+0)
- air defense systems - 910 (+0)
- aircraft - 365 (+0)

- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 13,212 (+54),
- cruise missiles - 2,421 (+1),
- ships/boats - 28 (+0)
- submarines - 1 (+0)
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 22,226 (+78)
- special equipment - 2,759 (+21).
On the evening of August 6, the Russian army launched attack drones at Ukraine. Explosions were heard in the Khmelnytskyi region, and air defense forces were operating in the Kyiv region.
