Russia loses military aircraft, 11 tanks and 1,400 soldiers in one day of war in Ukraine

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports. 

As of May 14, Russia's losses amounted to: 

• Personnel - about 485,430 (+1,400 per day)  
• Tanks - 7,496 (+11 units)
• Armored fighting vehicles - 14,460 (+43)
• Artillery systems - 12,515 (+28)
• MLRS - 1,070 (+0)
• Air defense systems - 798 (+1)
• Aircraft - 351 (+1)
• Helicopters - 325 (+0)
• Operational and tactical level UAVs - 9,985 (+49)
• Cruise missiles - 2,197 (+0)
• Ships / boats - 26 (+0)
• Submarines - 1 (+0)
• Vehicles and tank trucks - 16,907 (+29)
• Special equipment - 2,054 (+6)

Russian forces unsuccessfully try to advance towards Lyptsi and Neskuchne villages in Kharkiv region - General Staff

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian troops carried out 8 attacks in the areas of Hlyboke - Slobozhanske, Shebekino (Russia) - Vovchansk, Borysivka - Vesele, and unsuccessfully tried to advance towards Lyptsi and Neskuchne.

In the Kupyansk sector, six combat clashes took place since the beginning of the day near Synkivka, Berestove, Stelmakhivka and Myasozharivka.

In the Lyman sector, 1 combat clash was registered near Ivanivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the number of Russian attacks increased to 8. In particular, they were recorded in the areas of Bakhmut-Novyi, Bakhmut-Klishchiivka, Odradivka-Klishchiivka, Mykolaivka-Bila Hora. In addition, Russian troops carried out 2 air strikes.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops show the most activity. Since the beginning of the day they have conducted 24 attacks, in particular in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Yevhenivka and Netaylove. They used combat aircraft twice - near Vozdvyzhenka and Yevhenivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled six Russian attacks. Russian troops acted in the areas of Maryinka-Heorhiivka and Slavne-Novomykhailivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian troops made four unsuccessful attempts to storm Staromayorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian troops attacked 3 times near Krynky, but suffered losses. They fired artillery near Krynky, Tokarivka, Stanislav, Ivanivka, Tyahynyka and Zmiivka.

The situation remained unchanged in the Siverskyi, Toretsk, Vremivka and Huliaipole directions.

• On May 14, UK intelligence reported that by opening a new "front", Russia is most likely trying to divert Ukrainian resources from other parts of the frontline and pose a threat to Kharkiv.
