Russia loses 615 soldiers in 5 days of offensive in Kharkiv region - General Staff

“In eastern Ukraine, in the Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lyman, Toretsk, Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Vremivka directions, the Russian forces have conducted 23 attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions since the beginning of the day, 19 of them are still ongoing,” the statement said.

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian forces have not been active since the beginning of the day. The invading Russian troops are trying to gain a foothold at the achieved line and are regrouping.

In total, since May 10, the Russian army has lost 615 killed and wounded in the Kharkiv direction. Also, 98 pieces of weapons and military equipment were destroyed or damaged.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled one Russian attack and continue to engage in 8 combat clashes in the areas of Lyman Pershyi - Synkivka, Kuzemivka - Stelmakhivka, Krokhmalne - Berestove, Kotliarivka - Pishchane, Karmazynivka - Novoiehorivka. Ukrainian defenders did not lose any ground.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repulsed one Russian attack in the area of Chervonopopivka - Novosadove.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian troops are holding back 5 attacks by Russian invaders in the areas of Vesele - Rozdolivka, Berestove - Spirne, Mykolaivka - Spirne, Yakovlivka - Rozdolivka; the situation is under control.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking measures to improve the tactical situation in certain areas. Combat actions continue, but the situation is under control.

In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian troops fought off one Russian attack in the Zaitseve - Kurdiumivka area, without incurring any losses.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders beat back two Russian attacks in the Ocheretyne - Novooleksandrivka area, one combat clash is ongoing in the Soloviove - Sokil area, and Ukrainian troops are repelling another attack in the Semenivka - Novoselivka area.

In one of the areas, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Russian tank and two armored personnel carriers during the attack. The Ukrainian Armed Forces improved their tactical position. In another area, due to intense Russian shelling, Ukrainian troops are regrouping.

In the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian troops defeated one attack in the direction of Slavne - Novomykhailivka. At the moment, no positions have been lost, the situation is under control, and fighting continues. Ukrainian defenders took measures to improve the tactical situation with the help of separate units and were successful.

Since the beginning of the day, the Russian army has been most active in the Vremivka direction. The Ukrainian Defense Forces units have repulsed 8 attacks and are holding back two more in the areas of Mykilske - Kostiantynivka, Solodke - Kostiantynivka, Zavitne Bazhannia - Staromayorske, and Volodyne - Staromayorske. No losses of Ukrainian positions have been reported, and the fighting continues.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders rebuffed three Russian attacks in the Novoprokopivka-Robotyne area. The Russian troops were unsuccessful.

In other areas, there were no significant changes in the situation.

Ukraine's Armed Forces killed almost 260 Russian soldiers since the beginning of the day

In total, 41 combat clashes took place since the beginning of the day. The Russian forces conducted one air strike, using UAVs, and 17 strikes with kamikaze drones, firing over 470 times at the Ukrainian troops' positions.

Since the beginning of the day, nearly 260 soldiers, 76 pieces of weapons and military equipment, as well as two Russian ammunition depots have been destroyed.
