Russian troops’ attack on Kherson results in dead and wounded

On the afternoon of Monday, February 5, Russian occupation forces launched an artillery attack on Kherson, killing four people and wounding another

The head of the Kherson City Military Administration Roman Mrochko announced this.

It is noted that the occupation troops fired on the city after midday from the temporarily occupied left bank. 

As a result of the Russian shells hitting the city center, a fire broke out.

According to the prosecutor's office, a car caught fire as a result of the projectile explosion. After the fire was extinguished, the bodies of two dead people were found inside. 

Later it was reported that one person was injured - a 24-year-old resident of Kherson. He was taken to the hospital with an explosive injury.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Regional Military Administration, Russians continue to target the center of Kherson. 

Another 66-year-old woman died as a result of an artillery strike. She was on the street at the time of the shelling.

Later, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko posted a video of the aftermath of the Russian strike on Kherson and said that 4 residents had already died as a result of the attack. A man in his 60s suffered injuries incompatible with life.

  • The day before, on February 3, the Russian occupation army dropped guided aerial bombs on the village of Kachkarivka, Kherson region, damaging 30 houses and a critical infrastructure facility.
