Kherson region isn’t considered as direction for new Russian offensive - Yevhen Yeryn
Kherson region isn’t considered as a direction for a possible new Russian offensive, but Russian reconnaissance groups are operating there
This was stated by the joint press center head of the Tauride Defense Forces, Colonel Yevhen Yeryn, on Espreso TV channel.
"At the moment, the Kherson direction is not considered as a direction of a possible offensive (of Russia - ed.) even in the near future, because Russian groups in the temporarily occupied territories do not allow them to carry out actions," he said.
Yevhen Yerin claims Russia is preparing for defense and is likely to continue terrorist attacks on populated areas and critical infrastructure.
"The most likely thing that Russia is trying to do from time to time is to act as a small reconnaissance or reconnaissance-sabotage group that tries to cross the Dnipro river in small boats and conduct their activities. However, thanks to the vigilance of our defenders, all these attempts are detected and usually destroyed, or the boats with personnel are forced to turn back and retreat," the military emphasized.
