1,775 civilians evacuated from Kharkiv region over past day

Over the day of May 10, 1,775 civilians were evacuated from the districts of Kharkiv region that are constantly under intense Russian fire

Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleh Syniehubov reported.

According to him, 1,048 local residents have been evacuated from Chuhuiv district, 440 from Kharkiv district, 12 from Bohodukhiv district and 275 people have been evacuated by volunteers.

A total of 1,775 people have been evacuated.

On May 11, at 00:45, Russians shelled the village of Odnorobivka in Bohodukhiv district. Four houses and a car were damaged as a result of the enemy shelling.

He also noted that 30 settlements in Kharkiv region were subjected to Russian artillery and mortar attacks: Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Berestove and others. Hlyboke, Lukyantsi, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Vesele, Vilcha, Lyptsi, Slobozhanske, Sosnovyi Bir, and Ukrainske were subjected to aerial attacks.

In Lyptsi, Kharkiv district, a 53-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were wounded in the shelling. In Andriivka, Izium district, a tractor hit an unknown explosive device in a field. There were no casualties. In Cherkaski Tyshky, Kharkiv district, private houses were damaged by shelling. A 55-year-old man was killed.

Official also said that on May 10, dozens of private houses were damaged as a result of a series of massive shelling of Vovchansk with various types of weapons. A 52-year-old and a 42-year-old man, a 60-year-old woman were wounded, and there is one more wounded and two dead - a man and a woman. 

Ukrainian troops repelled 13 attacks in the Kupyansk sector over the last day, including in the areas of Synkivka and Berestove in Kharkiv region. In the Slobozhansky sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 9 attacks, in particular in the areas of Krasne, Morokhovets, Oliynykove, Hatyshche and others. of Kharkiv region.

  • At 11:00 p.m. on May 10, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that defensive battles are currently underway in the Kharkiv region. Counterattacks continue in the directions of Liptsy and Vovchansk. The enemy is using infantry and equipment. 

  • The population is being evacuated from Vovchansk and the surrounding settlements of the Kharkiv region due to very intense shelling by the Russian army.
