Keep a corridor to the Crimea and push away the Ukrainian forces outside Donetsk and Luhansk regions - Motuzyanyk told about plans of the Russian Federation till May 9

He spoke about this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

"Now their goal is quite clear: to push back the Ukrainian forces beyond the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and to keep the "land corridor" to the temporarily occupied Crimea. It is this kind of "victory" that their government will try to sell to its society. But Russia will definitely not limit itself solely to this", Oleksandr Motuzyanyk emphasized.

He called it obvious that the Russians would attack in other areas, in particular in Kherson, in order to occupy as many territories as possible. The speaker of the Ministry of Defense noted that the invaders are already preparing for this and are gaining a foothold in the already captured areas.

"But this will depend on the results of the hostilities in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions", he said and added that in the JFO zone, the Russians would try to encircle the Ukrainian military and cut off their logistical support.
