Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant remains target for Russia's false-flag operations - Humeniuk, OC South
Operational Command South's press center head Natalia Humeniuk says that Russian forces are continuing false-flag operations at the plant (HPP) which they will later blame on Ukraine's Armed Forces
She said this on the air of a nationwide telethon, Ukrinform reports.
“Yes, they carry out certain manipulations with the water that they are trying to drain from the reservoirs. They continue to blackmail Ukraine's Armed Forces with the fact that they are preparing to strike a critical blow at the HPP itself, but they were the ones who mined the critical infrastructure facility and they were the ones who released all the Ukrainian workers from there, leaving only their specialized personnel. They are the ones who limited access to this facility and strengthened its regime, all of which clearly indicates the preparation of certain measures of a manipulative nature,” Humeniuk said.
She also noted that a group of the occupying Russian troops is trying to cross from the right bank to the left bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region. They do not succeed so quickly due to the fact that only alternative crossings are used. The barge crossing along the Antonivka bridge also does not help them to act more quickly.
“They are moving their elite units and officers, leaving only those mobilized whom they don't feel sorry for,” she added.
