Kakhovka HPP explosion: The Hague court should issue another arrest warrant for Putin - MP Nalyvaichenko
The Hague tribunal should issue a life-long arrest warrant for Russian leader Vladimir Putin for the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant explosion, which is important for the wider confiscation of Russian assets
Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, lawmaker and former head of Ukraine's Security Service, said this on Espreso TV.
“This is another warrant for Putin and other military leaders involved in this terrorist attack, for blowing up the dam (Kakhovka hydroelectric power station - ed.), for using weapons of mass destruction by flooding civilian areas of our country and causing huge environmental and human damage. That is why international law qualifies the blowing up of dams as the use of weapons of mass destruction. Punishment is inevitable, and the warrant is issued for life,” he emphasized.
Valentyn Nalyvaichenko noted that the decision of the Hague tribunal is also important for the wider confiscation of Russian assets around the world.
