This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on his Facebook page.
During a meeting with Japanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Kiyoto Tsuji, Minister of State for Economy, Trade and Industry Kazuchika Iwata and representatives of Japanese business, Shmyhal outlined the priorities for Ukraine's rapid recovery: energy, housing, critical infrastructure, humanitarian demining and business support.
"I am grateful to the Japanese delegation for today's mission, which will facilitate further involvement of Japanese companies in the reconstruction," the Ukrainian Prime Minister emphasized.
The statement said that Ukraine is interested in establishing joint ventures, especially in the processing industry.
"Cooperation in the areas of agriculture, metalworking, mechanical engineering, critical raw materials and IT is important for us. Japan's experience in post-war reconstruction can be useful for Ukraine's economic recovery," explained Shmyhal.
The state ministers assured that Japan's position on supporting Ukraine would remain unchanged.
The day before, on November 17, US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida agreed to strengthen sanctions against Russia.
