It's too early to talk about about the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive as successful, without air superiority - National Guard Major Hetman
Reserve Major of the National Guard of Ukraine Oleksiy Hetman believes that until Ukraine receives F-16 fighters, it will be difficult to conduct successful offensive actions.
He expressed his opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"The Armed Forces are already on the offensive. We were able to move from defence to attack. How far we will be able to advance will depend on how the occupiers will resist. We also need to take into account the weapons and the number of shells needed to liberate our territory. All this must be taken into account, as modern Western weapons can be destroyed," explained the Hetman.
The NGU reserve major emphasised that it will be difficult for Ukraine to conduct offensive actions without air superiority
"There are a lot of people with weapons on the other side of the front. It does not matter what kind of weapons they have. They shoot and it is dangerous. In addition, the Russian forces still have a great advantage in the air. Until we get F-16 fighters, it is too early to talk about successful offensive actions. Without F-16s, we will not be able to achieve parity with the Russian forces in the air," he added.
