It's not easy to organize: former National Defense and Security Council official on Budanov's wife poisoning
Stepan Havrysh, First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council in 2008-2011, believes that organizing the poisoning of Budanov's wife, in the context of successful actions of the Defense Intelligence, is a rather complicated operation
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"In order to poison Budanov's wife, you need to have incredible penetration into the HUR. In addition, you need Budanov to make a series of mistakes when his wife goes to drink tea or coffee alone. It is almost impossible to assume that such a process would take place during a war when the HUR is conducting such successful operations. Therefore, all this indicates that there is a certain problem that we cannot assess. The poisoning of the wife of the head of the HUR with heavy metals is a very complex operation that requires a diverse chain of actions and people to be prepared," Havrysh noted.
The politician added that the Russian spy network in Ukraine is a serious challenge for our special services
"The poisoning of Budanov's wife occurred at the moment when National Security and Defense Council Secretary Danilov spoke about the activation of the Russian agent network in Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine responded to Danilov's statements by saying that there was nothing of the sort. The Security Service is actively fighting Russian spies. However, the reality, as we see it, is a little different and this situation is a serious challenge for the Ukrainian special services," he added.
