It may take up to 10 days to restore energy system of Ukraine in case of total blackout - Director of the Energy Research Center
Energy experts consider positive and negative scenarios for restoring electricity supply in Ukraine in case of blackout, relying on basic calculations
Oleksandr Kharchenko, Director of the Energy Research Center, told about this at a briefing in the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform.
According to him, if we rely on the basic calculations, orders and regulations of how events will take place in case that a blackout occurs, the positive recovery scenario will be 3 days, and the negative - 7 to 10 days to restore the system. However, deadlines cannot be guaranteed.
"There is such a problem - no one in the world has ever carried out such an experiment. No one in the world has thrown a system the size of Ukraine into blackout and tried to restore it - there are no such examples. Moreover, no energy system of any country in the world suffered such massive missile attacks. This is a unique Ukrainian experience," Oleksandr Kharchenko explained.
