ISW predicts when AFU will take complete control of right bank of Kherson region
The Ukrainian military will quickly take control of settlements on the right bank of Dnipro river in Kherson region, as long as Russians are unable to hold them
The Institute for the Study of War reports.
American analysts draw attention to the fact that on November 11, Ukrainian troops achieved significant territorial gains throughout the Kherson region and will continue to strengthen control over the right bank in the coming days.
Geolocation footage and images show that Ukrainian forces advanced into Kherson along T1501 highway from the west and M14 from the north and took control of Kherson and several nearby settlements along these roads.
In particular, the Ukrainian Main Directorate of Intelligence confirmed that Ukrainian troops advanced to the city of Kherson. Ukrainian Armed Forces also took control of Kyselivka and Chornobayivka, two critically important settlements northwest of Kherson.
Ukrainian troops also advanced south along the T1505 route from positions in Snihurivka to the northeast of the administrative border of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions and liberated several settlements along this line, including Lymanets and Ingulets.
Ukrainian troops entered Beryslav, 60 km east of Kherson, and footage on social networks shows liberation of settlements along P47 highway, which runs west from the Beryslav district to Kherson.
In the coming days, Ukrainian forces will continue to move along main roads in the direction of the Dnipro and take control of populated areas.
ISW concluded that the entire western part of Kherson region will be liberated based on the assessment that Russians have deprived themselves of the opportunity to hold the area on the right bank of Dnipro river. Ukrainian forces will quickly complete liberation of any areas not yet under their control.
