Israel defines its position on Russian war against Ukraine due to two factors- ambassador

Israel's attitude to the Russian war on Ukraine was influenced by Russia's cooperation with Iran and public opinion

Yevhen Korniychuk, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel, told it live on air on Espreso TV channel.

"The two factors influenced the change in Israel’s position. The first is, of course, deepening of Russia's cooperation with Iran. The second factor is elections and the fact that war in Ukraine significantly influenced public opinion", he emphasized.

According to Yevhen Korniychuk, that is why all leading political forces expressed their support for Ukraine in this war on the eve of elections in Israel.

"More than 80%, regardless of whether they speak Russian or Hebrew, support Ukraine", the ambassador noted.
