He made this statement during a speech before the government, according to Al Arabia.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran wants dialogue on equal footing. If you want negotiations, then what is the point of threatening?” said Pezeshkian.
According to the Iranian leader, today America is humiliating not only Iran but the entire world.
At the same time, he did not clarify whether Tehran would participate in direct talks with Washington.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed hope that Iran is ready for direct negotiations on its nuclear program, despite Tehran's official position, which favors a mediation format.
- On March 23, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that negotiations with the U.S. on nuclear weapons are impossible as long as Washington maintains its policy of pressure.
