Invading Russian forces repeatedly visit local residents' houses during "voting" in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region
The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, says that the invading Russian forces repeatedly visit the local residents' houses to hold a Russian-staged referendum
The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, wrote about this on Telegram on September 26.
"The circus spectacle called the 'referendum' continues in the occupied territories. Due to the catastrophically low turnout of the 'voters', the members of the occupation election commissions have started a repeat round of the apartments of local residents in Melitopol," Fedorov wrote.
The mayor reports that the residents who opened up to the occupiers are forced to vote for absent family members and even neighbors, in general, for those who evacuated.
"Under the muzzles of machine guns and through threats, the enemy is trying to "show" at least some semblance of a turnout at the pseudo-referendum. However, the picture is not suitable even for enemy propagandists - residents of the occupied territories have already expressed their attitude to this spectacle," Fedorov added.
