Invading Russian forces hit Luhansk region with missiles, aircraft, but are forced into retreat
On August 20, invading Russian forces used rockets, aircraft, tanks, and artillery in the Luhansk region, but were forced to retreat.
This was announced by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, on Telegram.
The Russians concentrated all their efforts in the Bakhmut direction, but for almost two months they have not had any serious victories and advances at the front. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are on the defensive, and thanks to the support of international partners, they are able to fight the enemy even in the rear.
"During the past day, our soldiers repelled 13 Russian attacks. The enemy used aviation near six populated areas. Seven times during the night, the enemy's barrel and rocket artillery tried to push the Ukrainian military out of the defensive redoubts. Twice the occupiers hit populated areas with rockets, twice more tanks went on the assault", he empathized.
The Russian invaders attacked from different sides, sometimes twice a day, but everywhere they were forced to retreat. Fighting continues in two more areas.
