Inspection of vessels involved in grain deal resumed in Bosphorus despite Russia's opposition
Ukraine’s Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov says that inspections of vessels participating in the grain deal have resumed, despite Russia's attempts to block them
On Twitter, the official thanked Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and said that Ukraine continues consultations with Turkey, the UN and other partners to ensure the implementation of the grain deal.
“Ship inspections are being resumed, despite the RF’s attempts to disrupt the agreement. With Turkey, the UN and other partners, we continue consultations on ways to ensure the full implementation of the Grain deal in compliance with the obligations of all parties and JCC procedures. Grateful to the Minister of Defense of Turkey, Akar Hulusi, for the constructive dialogue and clear position on supporting the work of the Black Sea Grain Initiative,” he tweeted.
On Monday, April 17, for the second time since November 2022, Russia blocked inspections of ships in Turkish territorial waters.
