In Mariupol, a civilian ship under a foreign flag fired upon by Russians is sinking

This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Telegram.

At night, during shelling from the sea, the invader hit a civilian ship with the flag of the Dominican Republic, which was at one of the wharfs.

The hit caused a fire in the engine room, one crew member was injured. The captain on the international maritime security channel gave an SOS signal and the message:

"Attention! The ship under the flag of the Dominican Republic was brutally destroyed, everything was destroyed, the bridge was destroyed. Fire in the engine room. There are wounded".

Due to the resulting hole, the ship began to sink, at the same time the fire covered an increasing area.

Marine border guards assisted the wounded and evacuated the crew to a safe place.

There is a fire on the ship, it is gradually going under water, it is impossible to carry out a rescue operation under constant shelling.
