In Bucha, Kyiv region, 144 occupiers killed at least 360 civilians, including 10 children

That’s a  statement of Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova.



 

"In Bucha at Yablunska Street, 144 Russians set up a real torture camp. According to whose who  survived, there was headquarters of Kadyrovites. They shot people, burned their eyes, cut off parts of bodies, tortured to death adults but also children. According to the city authorities, only 360 civilians have been killed in Bucha so far, including at least 10 children, "she said.

 

Also 132 people shot by Russians were found in Makarov in Kyiv region - there are both mass graves and single dead bodies. In  woods on a way from Gostomel to Irpin, locals found a car with all family shot.

 

"Such actions of  Russian terrorist army fall under the definition of the crime of genocide in accordance with  Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Crime of Genocide and Article 6 of Rome Statute of International Criminal Court," ombudswoman said.

 

She appealed to UN Commission of Inquiry into Human Rights Violations during Russia's Military Invasion in Ukraine and an expert mission set up by OSCE participating States under Moscow Mechanism to take into account these facts of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Ukraine.
