Illarionov and Medvedchuk’s statements are start of new wave of Russian disinformation campaign in Ukraine - adviser to Interior Minister Denysenko
Vadim Denysenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, noted that pro-Russian Telegram channels with an army of bots will promote two topics: the emergence of some terrible weapons in Russia and the return of the "party of peace" to Ukraine
He told about this on Espreso TV.
"Russians are starting a new wave of information campaign on Ukrainian territory. We have recently received two messages from the Russian Federation. The first one is that in the near future Russia will have or already has superweapons that will allow them to wage war in a different way and, as Andriy Illarionov (ex-advisor to Putin - ed.) said, it will be a completely different war. However, from my point of view, this is absolute nonsense, which has nothing to do with reality, because the Russian forces will not be able to show us anything new. And this must be clearly understood," stressed the advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs.
Vadym Denysenko noted that in this way they are trying to sow fear and talk about some Wunderwaffe (amazing weapon - ed.), which the world has never seen, but the Russians do not have it and will not have it.
"And the second point is Medvedchuk's article, in which we need to look at one key point, in general, we did not see anything new there, and the main message is that we need to return the "party of peace" and it must win, because Zelenskyy "is fighting to the last Ukrainian". In fact, these two simple messages - that Russia has some terrible weapons and we should be afraid of it, and the Ukrainian government wants to fight to the last person in the country - will be promoted in the pro-Russian media, which, unfortunately, cannot be closed on the territory of Ukraine, I mean, Telegram channels operating through an army of bots," Denysenko explained.
