IAEA must only reach nuclear power plant through Ukrainian-controlled territory - Kuleba
Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba has warned of possible Russian false-flag operations involving the IAEA's visit to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and said that the delegation should reach the plant only through the Ukrainian-controlled territory.
He told about this in a comment to Suspilne.
Kuleba plans to hold talks with the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding the terms of the IAEA delegation's visit to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. He said that Russia will spread propaganda to shift responsibility to Ukraine.
"We understand that now Russia will clog up the information space with its propaganda, shifting the blame for the IAEA's refusal to allow the ZNPP to Ukraine. But nothing will come of it. That is, when they are preparing to block something, they begin to shift responsibility in advance using propaganda methods. We have gone through all these tricks, no one falls for them. What Russia is doing there is a threat not only to Ukraine, but also to the whole world," the minister said.
According to him, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has a principled position that the IAEA should reach the ZNPP through the territory controlled by the government of Ukraine, and not through Russia, and then through the occupied territories.
"With everything else, I, we will be absolutely open and will take into account the wishes of the IAEA as much as possible, from the point of view of logistics and from the point of view of security," Kuleba added.
