IAEA Director General arrives on working visit to South Ukrainian NPP to discuss physical protection of Ukraine's nuclear facilities

"On the agenda of discussing issues of ensuring nuclear and radiation safety at the Zaporizhzhya and Chernobyl nuclear power plants captured by Russian troops", the report says.

Also, together with the Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko, the head of the State Enterprise "NAEK" Energoatom" Petro Kotin and the head of the State Nuclear Regulatory Commission Oleg Korikov, the IAEA Director General will discuss issues of support from the Agency for Nuclear and Radiation Safety, as well as the physical protection of nuclear facilities, materials and waste sources of radiation in Ukraine in connection with the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
