Historic event and two shows

Biden's visit to Kyiv by train is definitely a historic event! Never before has a U.S. president visited a country at war without the U.S. army, without his own planes and escorts, but in a Ukrzaliznytsia train car. He arrived on the Memorial Day of Heavenly Hundred Heroes, and this is even more symbolic. These heroes destroyed the millennial fear of millions of Ukrainians at the cost of their lives.

And then there was the show. Two teams offered us the stylistics of the future. Putin was the first to speak. It was a mixture of dictatorial Stalinism, Brezhnev's stagnation, and St. Petersburg's swagger. The words did not matter because they sounded parodic. Even about suspending the nuclear disarmament agreement (not withdrawing, but suspending). And who was in the audience?

It seems as if Stalin's NKVDists were brought to the 25th Congress of the CPSU and for some reason the creator of “eternal themes”, an elderly TV personality Ernst who was once fashionable in Moscow, was seated among them.

Biden in Warsaw also created a show!!! I was especially impressed by the children of all races with Ukrainian and American flags near the Royal Palace in the center of Warsaw!!! And by the thousands of people on the square on a winter evening who came on their own, who were not dressed up in carnival NKVD costumes and who were sincerely happy.

A picture from the bloody past in the east and a picture from the joyful future in the west. And between them, as always, is the Ukrainian Cossack state, which is at war and which, in this spiral of history, is protecting these smiles of the democratic world at great cost - the cost of Ukrainian lives.
