The director of the Center for Military Legal Research, Oleksandr Musienko, believes that the successful use of the American HIMARS and M270 weapons systems, as well as the partisan movement in the Kherson region will force the invading Russian forces to make another "gesture of goodwill"

The expert shared the details in the Verdict with Serhii Rudenko program on Espreso TV.

"The HIMARS systems and the Ukrainian partisan movement in the South of Ukraine will lead to the fact that the Russian troops will be forced to make another "gesture of goodwill" - to withdraw to the left bank of the Kherson region and strengthen their positions there. The Armed Forces of Ukraine actively use the M142 HIMARS and M270 MLRS systems. It has already become obvious that the air defense systems that are in service in Russia cannot do anything. A clear evidence of this is the constant strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Antonivka Bridge, which is protected by Russian air defense systems", Musienko noted.

The military expert added that in addition to the skillful use of accurate Western artillery, the lives of the Russian occupiers are also being ruined by the Ukrainians who are temporarily under occupation.

"A large number of disloyal population to the Russian occupiers in the South, both in Kherson itself and in the region, give nightmares to the occupiers. Ukrainians conduct actions to undermine collaborators, to hinder their activities, as well as conduct agitation for Ukraine. All this forms an extremely powerful fire and psychological attack. After all, these factors are putting quite a lot of pressure on the grouping of Russian troops in the Kherson region. The number of deserters among Russians in the South and East of Ukraine will increase. Accordingly, morale will fall. In addition, aid and weapons will not be able to arrive in time", Oleksandr Musienko emphasized.
