Ihor Kharchenko, diplomat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, noted that there is a feeling of positive news from Germany regarding the decision to provide heavy military equipment to Ukraine

He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.

"I believe in common sense and understanding of the German government. Germany has come a long way in recent months in restoring its real role in European politics, as well as getting rid of those "skeletons in the cupboard", which during 70 years of "peace and friendship" with the Soviet Union made Germany what it is today," the diplomat commented.

Ihor Kharchenko noted that he considers it extremely important news, which was published in the German Deutsche Welle a couple of weeks ago, that today Germany's dependence on Russian energy carriers is zero.

"Germany is pedantry, accuracy, precision, and if we are waiting for decisions on heavy military equipment, which we would like to be a little faster, then I have a feeling that we have to wait for positive news," said Kharchenko.
