German government will continue to supply weapons to Ukraine - German ambassador

The German Ambassador to Ukraine, Anka Feldhusen, says that support for Ukraine in German society and in the government remains firm and indicates this cooperation will continue.

She told about this in an interview with Ukrinform.

"I understand Ukrainians who are disappointed with the speed of our arms deliveries and our communication. Sometimes it disappoints me too. But if you look at the facts, now we, like other countries, also supply modern weapons that help Ukraine", she said.

According to Feldhusen, the list of weapons that Germany has already delivered to Ukraine is impressive, taking into account the fact that until February 24, the country said that, in principle, it would never supply Ukrainians with weapons.

"The fact is that the German government will continue to supply weapons to Ukraine. We are very actively thinking about this and discussing the need for armaments with our Ukrainian partners", she added.

It is known that the German Ministry of Defense recently announced a decision to provide Ukraine with a batch of 16 Biber armored bridge-builder tanks, but the ambassador did not specify the exact date of their arrival in Ukraine.

"In my opinion, it is still more important now to find salvo missile systems, such as MARS and HIMARS. I think that all partners should find more such weapons", Anka Feldhusen said.
