German Defense Minister arrives in Kyiv
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday, November 21, to discuss military training and additional military assistance

Pistorius made an unannounced visit to Ukraine via train early in the morning. The German Defense Minister is expected to hold meetings with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The German Ministry of Defense highlighted that the visit aims to reaffirm Germany's support for Ukraine.
The main topics of discussion during the trip include Ukrainian military training and military aid. Alongside political talks, Pistorius plans to visit the training center of the Ukrainian military.
Pistorius paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the pro-European uprising on the Maidan, marking its 10th anniversary in the center of Kyiv.
"I am here to promise further support," stated the German official.
- This marks Pistorius's second visit to Kyiv since assuming the position of Germany's Minister of Defense, with his previous visit in February 2023.
- Additionally, his American counterpart, Lloyd Austin, visited the Ukrainian capital a day earlier, holding discussions with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
