Gerasimov not appointed to win in Ukraine - Piontkovsky

He expressed his opinion on Espreso TV. 

“This is not Rokossovsky, whom Stalin dragged out of the camp in a helpless position and entrusted him with one of the fronts. Gerasimov has already shown himself as a military leader, you saw all this ridiculous plan of the first days of the war. Of course, Putin is responsible for the very idea of ​​war, for the philosophy of hatred, but the idiotic plan with tank columns coming from the north was developed by Gerasimov,” the political scientist emphasized.

Andrey Piontkovsky noted that the qualities of the "commanders" Gerasimov and Shoigu have already been demonstrated.

“Gerasimov was not appointed to win in Ukraine. Gerasimov and Shoigu committed a mini military coup, they wanted to eliminate Prigozhin, in particular physically. History puts a big experiment on Russia, it is an alternative history of Hitler's fascism with Rehm (one of the leaders of the National Socialists and the head of the Assault Directorate of the SA) - ed.), who defeated the Reichswehr (the name of the German Armed Forces 1919-35 - ed.) in 1934 and became the Führer himself. This is the main intrigue in Russia now. All the more, they understand that after Davos and Ramstein, the fate of the war has already been decided,” Piontkovsky noted.
