General Nayev defines Defense Forces’ key tasks in Ukraine's northeast

"I worked in the Sumy direction. Communicated with the group commander, personnel at the command posts of brigades and individual battalions," Nayev wrote.

The lieutenant general identified the main tasks of the Ukrainian military:

• first - to increase the security of the civilian population; 

• second - to prevent the actions of sabotage and reconnaissance forces in this area; 

• third - any air attack aircraft moving through the Sumy region must be shot down, and the effectiveness of the air defense system must be improved.

According to Nayev, the commanders have clearly realized the tasks.

"They understand that I will definitely check them," added the commander of the Joint Forces.
