From now on, not only Donbas: Lavrov claims that Russia has changed its "geographic" tasks in the war on Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says that Moscow plans to seize not only the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, but also the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as other areas of Ukraine

Lavrov said this in an interview with Russian propaganda media.

According to him, the "geographical" tasks of Russia's "military special operation" in Ukraine have changed. From now on, it is not only the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, but also a number of other territories.

"Now the geography is different. It's not only the DPR and the LPR, it's also the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as a number of other territories", Lavrov said.

He explained the "expansion of geography" by the fact that Russia allegedly "cannot allow that in the part of Ukraine that will be controlled by Zelenskyy or whoever will replace him, there are weapons that will pose a direct threat to the territory of the Russian Federation and the "republics" that have declared their  "independence".
