From 14 humanitarian corridors on March 12 9 worked, - Vereshchuk
Today, March 12, Ukraine planned to open a total of 14 humanitarian corridors to evacuate people and deliver humanitarian aid. However, not all of them were able to earn.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Reintegration Iryna Vereshchuk.
"Following the results of open humanitarian corridors, and there were 14 of them in total, 9 worked today," she said.
According to Vereshchuk, about 8,000 people were helped in Sumy.
Thanks to the humanitarian corridor, about 3,000 people left the Poltava region.
Instead, the corridor in Energodar, Zaporizhia Oblast, did not work. The convoy of humanitarian cargo stopped at a checkpoint in Vasylivka, and the Russian occupiers did not let it pass, despite previous agreements. So the convoy stayed overnight and had to leave for its destination in the morning.
In the Kyiv region, humanitarian routes have only partially worked. Yes, it was not possible to take people out of Vorzel and Irpen. The Kozarovichi-Kyiv humanitarian corridor also failed. People could not be evacuated from Borodyanka because the shelling continued.
However, almost a thousand people were able to leave Bucha, 600 citizens were deported from Gostomel, and 1,264 people were deported from Nemishayev.
We remind you that on March 12, evacuation from Okhtyrka of the Sumy region wasn't begun because of the Russian attacks.
On March 12, 2022, the Ukrainian side opened more than ten humanitarian corridors to hotspots.
