Freedom of Russia Legion have ambitions to march on Moscow, Kalinoŭski regiment calls Minsk its ultimate goal
Alexei Baranovsky, a representative of the Political Center of the Russian Armed Opposition, says that all foreign volunteers from the International Legion who are fighting for Ukraine will return home and liberate their countries from authoritarian regimes
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"The Freedom of Russia Legion does not hide its ambitions to eventually march on Moscow and free the Kremlin from Putin, and Kalinoŭski regiment (a Belarusian regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine formed in March 2022 as a battalion to defend Ukraine - ed.) And who will go first, whether we go to Moscow or the Belarusians go to Minsk, depends on different circumstances. Of course, just as the Russians are ready to help the Belarusians free themselves from Lukashenko's tyranny, we are also counting on the support of the Belarusians in our case. Which of these operations will start first will depend on the circumstances. Options are being worked out," said the representative of the Political Center of the Russian armed opposition.
Alexei Baranovsky added that virtually all foreign volunteers fighting for Ukraine are members of the International Legion. They are quite similar and close in structure and command, and they are currently engaged in the defense of Ukraine, but all of them have plans to return home.
"For example, Chechen battalions will return home and fight for the independence of Ichkeria. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has recognized the independence of Ichkeria, and the only thing left to do is to get Kadyrov out of there. There are various foreign groups that have ambitions to return home. We are all in contact and will help each other. But in what sequence will depend on how the military and political situation develops," Baranovsky said.
