Former commanding general of US Army Europe Ben Hodges suggests way to counter missile attacks on Kyiv
Ukraine must receive long-range weapons to target objects from which Russia attacks and to defend itself against Russian attacks with S-300 and S-400 missiles
This was stated by former US Army Commander in Europe Lieutenant General Ben Hodges in an interview with New Voice online media.
"ATACMS and small airborne bombs, Great Eagle drones are the systems that will help Ukraine defend itself and hit the targets from which Russia attacks innocent Ukrainian people," he emphasized.
Hodges stated Ukraine's allies should provide the country with long-range weapons because so far Russia has actually had a protected rear zone, as Ukraine does not have weapons that can hit that far.
“By not providing anything that would hit further than multiple launch missile systems, we have actually created a safe zone for the Russians beyond 90 kilometers. This actually gives them a rear beyond 90 kilometers. So, of course, I think we have to do it," he added.
