The repetitiveness of (manipulative) narratives aims to portray a certain vision of things as generally accepted

"Russian propaganda was once described as a "Stream of lies" that delivers rapid, continuous and repetitive disinformation. Usually, successful disinformation and propaganda campaigns prioritize logical presentation. However, Russia under Putin has abandoned this, as its goal is not to make the audience believe something new, but to question almost everything they know.

It is necessary to destroy, divide and weaken the communities that Putin considers rivals. To achieve this goal, the Kremlin uses many tools, such as direct financial support for radical political parties at opposite ends of the political spectrum. Through manipulation of social media and the use of false identities, Russian disinformation aims to undermine citizens' faith in their common identity, democratic principles, institutions and processes.

“The Kremlin uses many tools, such as direct financial support for radical political parties at opposite ends of the political spectrum”

“The repetitiveness of (manipulative) narratives aims to portray a certain vision of things as universally accepted.”

(c) Herbert McMaster, Battlegrounds

Don't believe your eyes, truth is a lie, manipulation is truth. The algorithm works where emotions prevail over reason. Where critical thinking gives way to "it's obvious". For Russia, this is a familiar tool for controlling its own people and influencing the outside world.

“You don’t need to go far – the God-saved сommon people are already running speading the nonsense from talking heads and quickly forgetting about Patrushev's plane in Oman, a comedian's concert for terrorists, "Vladimir Vladimirovich, get us out of here..." and much more”

Both Europe and the United States have suffered from this technology. But this experience is rapidly being monkeyed here. The God-saved common people are already running, spreading the nonsense from talking heads and quickly forgetting about Patrushev's plane in Oman, a comedian's concert for terrorists, "Vladimir Vladimirovich, get us out of here..." and much more.

First, the audience is forced to doubt reality, and then a new reality is created for them. We are outraged by the zombification in the occupied territories, but are we? And no, the "it's after the war" excuse doesn't work. Slaying the dragon is not enough. And if we allow our own dragon to appear, then the question is: why did it all happen?
