Foreign Affairs Committee of Czech Parliament recognizes Russian regime as terrorist
The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech lower house described the current Russian regime as terrorist in a resolution passed on Thursday, November 3
This was reported in Ceske Noviny.
"The Committee on Foreign Affairs defines the current Russian regime as terrorist in accordance with the resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe," the resolution reads.
The MPs condemned Russia's aggression in Ukraine and, in particular, large-scale attacks on the civilian population, civilian objects and key infrastructure objects.
They noted that the main target of the latest wave of attacks were government institutions and energy infrastructure facilities on a large part of the territory of Ukraine, where dozens of civilians became victims.
"The shelling and deployment of military units on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is a threat to the civilian population not only on the territory of Ukraine. Direct or indirect threats to use nuclear weapons, as well as false and groundless accusations of Ukraine planning to use weapons of mass destruction are a dangerous escalation of tensions and a threat to European security," the resolution states.
In its resolution the committee also notes that the actions of the Russian troops and other armed formations created with the support of the Russian authorities correspond to war crimes and crimes against humanity, and the persons responsible for them must be punished.
