For the first time invaders stole buses for evacuation of people - Mayor of Melitopol
In addition to the stealing humanitarian cargo, buses for the evacuation of people were stolen for the first time, eight buses disappeared in an unknown direction
Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol, spoke about the situation of stealing buses for the evacuation of Melitopol residents on Espreso TV.
The head of Melitopol said: “Today, the issue is not that they steal humanitarian cargo. For the first time, they stole buses carrying humanitarian cargo and buses that were supposed to evacuate residents from Melitopol, those who want to leave the occupied city. This happened quite weirdly. When we tried to deliver a humanitarian cargo to Melitopol for two days, it spent two days first in Vasylyivka, then it was stopped in front of the monument of the city of Melitopol, left there to spend the night, although there were 4 km left to the place of unloading. But it was left to spend the night there, and at half past eight the military arrived, gathered all the drivers in one bus and told them: "Thank you for the eight buses, you don't have to go here anymore". And they left one bus for the drivers to go on, and eight buses left in an unknown direction. Yesterday, the Ministry of Reintegration did everything possible and impossible to return these buses and allow the residents of Melitopol to evacuate. We were promised, but these buses are still missing. Now an hour and a half ago, again from the checkpoint, our employees, bus drivers, called the person in charge of humanitarian aid from Melitopol, he said that they have not forgotten about you, so just wait. We have been waiting for two days, but I do not know where these buses are and what is happening".
