Fire breaks out at military unit in Moscow suburbs:   1,200 sq.m. area ablaze

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Moscow region, TASS reports.

"The operative shift of the Russian Emergency Management Center received a report about a fire in a residential building in Dovgoprudnoe city district, Skhidna Street, opposite building No. 33. At the time of the arrival of the first fire and rescue unit, smoke was observed  from under the roof," the statement reads.

The emergency services noted that a military unit is located at this address. The fire was extinguished. There was no information about the victims.

37 firefighters and 9 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
