This was announced by the director and producer Azad Safarov, informs Espreso.West.
He specifically wrote that "A House Made of Splinters" won in the Best Documentary category and won the FIPRESCI Award at the Greek Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
"It would seem that it's just another festival and another award? No! The winner of this festival immediately gets on the Oscar shortlist for next year!! And therefore, at least one Ukrainian film will already compete for the Oscar".
