Fighting escalates again in Bakhmut sector - Ukrainian serviceman Syrotyuk
Yuriy Syrotyuk, a soldier with Ukraine's 5th Detached Assault Brigade, says that the AFU have managed to push the Russian flanks, occupy the dominant heights, and advance toward Klishchiivka in recent weeks
He said this on Espreso TV.
“A fierce battle is taking place in the Bakhmut sector. In recent weeks, we managed to seriously push the enemy's flanks, occupy the dominant heights and advance towards the village of Klishchiivka. We also strengthened our positions on the southwestern outskirts of Bakhmut, where we were constantly present. In recent days, the Russian forces have brought up reserves and are trying to recapture these positions. The Russians have received a lot of new reinforcements, which they are actively throwing into the fray. That is, there is a war on counter-pairs: we attack the enemy forces and move forward, and they try to counterattack and recapture positions, but they fail. It is a bit difficult now. Apparently, the enemy has orders to hold these positions at all costs, so the fighting has escalated again,” said the Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman.
Yuriy Syrotyuk added that the enemy is suffering huge losses, all the landings are covered with the corpses of Russian soldiers, which no one is going to clean up.
