Fierce fighting continues in Avdiivka region - General Staff
Fighting continues in Donetsk region in the directions of Oleksandropol, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Piskivy. Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled Russian attacks in several directions.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the Avdiyiv direction, Russian enemy shelled the areas of Kurakhove, New York, Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, and Oleksandropil settlements with tanks and rocket artillery. Made an airstrike near Maryinka. With offensive actions, Russian occupiers are trying to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops in the directions of Oleksandropol, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Piskivy. Fierce fighting continues.
The occupiers also tried to advance near Yakovlivka, Bakhmut, Vershina and Zaitsevo, but were unsuccessful. Fighting is still going on in some areas.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy tried to improve the tactical position near Ivano-Daryivka and Vyimka by assault. The enemy was strongly repulsed and retreated.
In the Slavyansk direction, near Nova Dmytrivka and Dolyna, Russian forces also tried to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops, but were unsuccessful and retreated.
