FC Milan to allocate EUR 150,000 to restore stadium in Irpin
Italian FC Milan allocates EUR 150,000 to the campaign aimed at the reconstruction of the damaged stadium in the town of Irpin, Kyiv region
UNITED24 Twitter account announced the donation.
“Together with Andriy Shevchenko, we're launching a fundraiser for the reconstruction of Irpin stadium. It's our first project in the Rebuild Ukraine direction, and our ambassador has already engaged FC Milan, which will allocate 150,000 euros,” the tweet reads.
The Champion stadium in Irpin suffered as a result of hostilities in March when Ukraine repelled the Russian attack. UNITED24 notes that the cost of the stadium reconstruction is 600,000 euros.
Rebuild Ukraine is a mechanism proposed by the European Commission to coordinate efforts to rebuild Ukraine once the war is over.
