Politico reports that a US general in Europe has told US lawmakers that providing Ukraine with advanced Western equipment, such as F-16 fighter jets, drones and long-range missiles, could help Kyiv control the skies and increase its offensive against Russia.
According to 5 sources, on Friday, at a closed briefing at the Munich conference, Christopher Cavoli was asked whether F-16 fighters would help Ukraine win the war against Russia. He answered: “Yes.”
In particular, the Commander of NATO's Allied Forces Europe told lawmakers that the United States and its allies should send Ukraine the most advanced weapons they can. This includes advanced aircraft, drones, and missiles with a range of more than 100 kilometers.
