Ukraine’s intelligence reported the information.
The incident took place in the Nova Poshta postal office. This location, believed to house the Russian headquarters, was targeted during a meeting of FSB and Russian Guard officers. Prior to the attack, the Russians blocked traffic in the vicinity.
The intelligence agency states, "The assault occurred as the occupiers convened their meeting. An hour earlier, the Russians restricted traffic from Melitopol Auto-Hydroaggregat to the former Melitopol Refrigeration Engineering Plant, both converted into a military base by Moscow invaders."
Currently, it is confirmed that at least three Russian Guard officers have been eliminated, with information on additional Russian losses pending verification.
“Following the assault, Melitopol experienced heightened activity, with many police officers rushing to the scene. Subsequently, they towed a burned vehicle near the headquarters through the occupied city to their station,” as reported by the intelligence agency.
Two Russian colonels, Viktor Peredrii of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and Vladimir Popov, a retired police colonel, lost their lives during hostilities against the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
