The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko said at least three residential high-rise buildings were hit.
Information about victims is being clarified.
Klitschko noted that the explosions occurred in the Pechersk district of the city. Currently, medics and rescuers are working at the scene of the impact. The mayor of the capital promised to provide more detailed information later.
Earlier, eyewitnesses reported smoke in one of the districts of the capital.
The air alert, which was announced at 2:21 p.m., is currently in effect. Oleksiy Kuleba, head of the Kyiv Military Administration, reported that the danger of more missile attacks remains.
