Drone debris damages 2 buildings in Kyiv; 11 Shahed drones shot down in region
In the morning of December 14, Russia has attacked Kyiv with drones. Drone debris has damaged 2 administrative buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city.
The Kyiv City Military Administration provided more details on the situation.
According to preliminary information, a fragment from a downed drone damaged 2 administrative buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
State Emergency Service’s spokeswoman told Suspilne, a Ukrainian news outlet, that no people were injured from debris.
As of 08:00 a.m., the total number of downed drones has reached 11.
Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko shared the information regarding 10 downed drones on Telegram.
"The air defense has shot down a total of 10 drones in the Kyiv region and over Kyiv city," he said.
Prior to that, Klitschko said that explosions had occurred in Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital.
The air alarm alert was triggered in the city at 05:55 a.m.. Residents heard the first explosions around 06:30 a.m.
Earlier, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Oleksiy Kuleba reported that air defense in Kyiv region had been triggered.
