Explosions heard in Sevastopol, Dzhankoi. Russia reports massive UAV attack
On the evening of Friday, December 15, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol and Dzhankoi. The occupation administration said that 26 drones were allegedly shot down in Crimea
This was reported in the telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the report, the drones allegedly attacked Crimea between 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. (8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Moscow time, which the occupiers have established in Crimea).
The Russian ministry reported that "26 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems over the Crimean peninsula."
Later, the Russian Defense Ministry added that another drone attack was repelled half an hour after the first one. According to the ministry, 6 more drones were allegedly shot down over the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Earlier, the Krym.Realii project reported on the explosions in Crimea, citing the words of local residents. In addition, the editorial office received several videos from different locations in the area.
It is indicated that Russian air defense was allegedly operating in the area between the occupied Chornomorske and Mizhvodne. At the same time, no air raid alert was announced in Crimea.
The video of the air defense operation was also posted by the Crimean Partisans telegram channel. It reported that explosions were heard in Dzhankoi and Sevastopol.
Later, the Russian-appointed governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said that Russian air defense was allegedly operating over the sea and had shot down one drone. He also stated that no damage was registered.
Soon after, the so-called governor of Kherson region, a protege of the occupiers, Vladimir Saldo, wrote that the temporarily occupied Henichesk district was allegedly under rocket attack and that 15 targets had been shot down as of 8:20 p.m.
