Explosions are heard in many regions of Ukraine, air defense is working

Head of Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi informed about the work of air defense in the Lviv region

"Air defense is working in the Lviv region. Stay in shelters," he said.

Air defense was working in the Kyiv region, the head of the regional military administration Oleksiy Kuleba reported on Telegram.

"Kyiv region. Air defense is working. Stay in safe places," he said.

Odesa district state administration at 3:07 p.m. reported that air defense works over the territory of the Odesa region. Officials noted that Russia is carrying out a massive missile attack on Ukrainian territory and there are already missile launches from the air and from the sea.

At the same time, the sounds of explosions were heard in the Vinnytsia region. The head of the regional military administration Serhiy Borzov said that missiles were flying to the Vinnytsia region from the south. He claimed Russia is using several waves of missile attacks, the first of which is to detect air defense systems. 

Air alert is on throughout Ukraine. The head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim at 2:52 p.m. reported that "air defense shot the first missile" and called to stay in shelters.

Social media also reported about the sounds of explosions in the Khmelnytsky, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. 

• On the morning of January 14, the Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kyiv. Explosions were heard in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital and 18 private houses were damaged in the region.
