A series of explosions in Kyiv occurred around 9:35 a.m. Immediately after, an air alarm alert was declared in the capital and the region.
Ukrainian State Emergency Service reported on Telegram that there was fire in a 20-square-meter metal warehouse building in Holosiivskyi district as a result of a missile fragment falling on the territory of one of the enterprises, windows in the adjacent 2-story building were shattered.
In Dniprovskyi district, as a result of a missile fragment falling on an open area near the building of one of the district's enterprises, 25 square meters of wall were ruined, windows were broken and communications were damaged as well.
"There was no fire at the site, 9 personnel and 2 pieces of equipment were involved. There is no information about victims and injured as a result of these events," the message says.
Earlier the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that Kyiv suffered a missile attack. An infrastructure object was hit. All emergency services are already working on the site.
According to the mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko, the explosions occurred in the Dniprovskyi district. "All services are heading to the site," Klitschko wrote.
Later he added that in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital, missile fragments fell on a non-residential area. There were no casualties.
Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted that Russian forces launched a missile attack on critical infrastructure facilities.
Later, he added that in the village of Kopyliv, Kyiv region, during the morning attack a residential building was hit. Windows of the houses of local residents were shattered. There is no preliminary information about the victims. Emergency services are working at the scene.
The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Oleksiy Kuleba noted that 18 private houses in the region were damaged as a result of the morning attack. Roofs and windows were damaged. Ukraine’s Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko said that the fragments of the downed missile fell on the territory of the Pyrohiv open-air museum in Kyiv’s suburb. No one was injured.
